The Lake of the Ozarks area has experienced tremendous growth and development over the last 20 years. It now boasts a population of more than 124,886 permanent residents and a thriving tourism industry. The popularity of the Lake of the Ozarks region is accentuated by its central location in Missouri, equal distances from the two largest cities: St. Louis and Kansas City. Because of the unique ability to build at the water's edge and the availability of diverse activities, the Lake Area is projected to experience continued growth and development.
