Quality of Life at the Lake of the Ozarks

There is no better place in the country for quality of life than the Lake of the Ozarks

If you are considering moving your business to the Lake of the Ozarks area, you will find that we may have the best quality of life of anywhere in the country.  With our tremendous range of recreational activities, low cost of living, award winning schools, and fantastic shopping and restaurants, we offer all the advantages of more urban areas while being on the shores of a lake with more shoreline than the state of California.

Recreational activities abound at the Lake!

We offer a wide range of recreational activities throughout the area.  We are home to more than 13 golf courses all within an easy drive with courses that will challenge all skill levels.  Our lake offers unparalleled boating opportunities for boats of all sizes, from Kayaking to PWC's to Pontoons, to Cruisers.  Marinas and waterfront restaurants are plentiful and there are several national level boating events throughout the year.  The Lake of the Ozarks has a tremendous reputation as a top notch fishing destination, and hundreds of fishing tournaments are offered annually.  With more than 1,150 miles of shoreline and 54,000 surface acres, plus rock bluffs, mud flats, gravel bars, coves, creeks, docks and crappie beds, it's no wonder generations of anglers from across America are hooked on fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks.

There are many other activities available for both locals and visitors. Over a hundred resorts, hotels, motels and B & B’s provide a limitless selection of accommodations. Two large resorts offer convention and business meeting rooms for groups large or small. An exhibition center offering nearly 100,000 sq. ft. is in the planning stages and will compliment our existing capabilities.

The community offers many shopping experiences at the largest brand name factory outlet mall in Missouri, the Osage Beach Premium Outlets. With 110 outlet stores, shoppers find impressive savings at Adidas, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, BCBG Max Azria, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Coach, Gap Outlet, J.Crew, Nautica, Nike, Nine West, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and more. In addition to the outlet mall, the area boasts a Super Walmart, Target, Marshalls, Petco, Menards, Kohl's, Dierbergs, and several other large retailers. Lake of the Ozarks also features quaint antique and specialty shops that are scattered throughout the lake area. On weekends visitors can be seen strolling the Bagnell Dam strip which offers a variety of shopping opportunities at fantastic bargains. Our family friendly atmosphere makes the lake the perfect place to enjoy activities with the kids.  We have 2 large parks in the areas - Lake of the Ozarks State Park, and Ha Ha Tonka that offer many scenic walking trails.
