Join LOREDC's Mission to Enhance the Lake Area

As you may know, a number of agencies, organizations and businesses have joined together to enhance the efforts of economic development opportunities at the Lake of the Ozarks through the creation of the Lake of the Ozarks Regional Economic Development Council (LOREDC). What started over ten years ago as an informal exchange of information between communities throughout the tri-county region, has now evolved into a structured committee with the purpose to retain and attract businesses to the Lake with the understanding that what is good for one community is good for the entire region.

LOREDC Ongoing Achievements

Here's a list of LOREDC's ongoing achievements and current focus:
  • Maintain a regional demographic profile for Camden, Miller & Morgan counties.

  • Work with MSW Interactive Designs to develop an engaging social media campaign utilizing Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Blogger, Google + and Twitter.
  • Present LOREDC business awards to include Business Partner of the Year, Business Person of the Year & Emerging Enterprise of the Year.
  • Assist Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments with strategic planning for the CEDS.
  • Continue to provide regional demographics, working with Xceligent and LOTO COLG to inventory sites in the region, and working to establish state certified sites in the region.
  • Maintain available sites and buildings on Location One.
  • Feature guest speakers at the monthly LOREDC board meetings.
  • Partner with Ameren Missouri to develop a Lake of the Ozarks Quality of Labor Study.
  • Successful passage of Bill 1506 that creates matching grants for economic development groups in rural Missouri. We are currently working with our legislators on the funding for this Bill.
