Eagle Days 2022! A Don't Miss Event!
Another favorite event is just around the corner at the Lake of the Ozarks ... it's Eagle Days! Numerous organizations and local small businesses at Lake of the Ozarks team up every year to put on this wonderful event. People come from all over the state come out to learn more about bald eagles, up close and personal, with educational presentations. They are able to view live eagles in the wild from a variety of vantage points to choose from. Many also enjoy participating in the photo contest or coloring contest. Because of the generous donation of time and resources by local volunteers at Lake of the Ozarks along with the small business community at Lake of the Ozarks, this event remains free to the public! EAGLE DAYS 2022
Get out your coats, hats and gloves for one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Ameren Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return for its 23rd year at the Lake on Saturday, January 8, 2022. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants. Today approximately 1,500 - 2,000 people attend each day of the event.
A collective partnership with the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau, Osage National Golf Resort, FaceLift Design+Print, The Encore Lakeside Grill & Sky Bar, The Lodge at Port Arrowhead and Missouri Master Naturalist – Lake of the Ozarks Chapter, announces Ameren Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return to Lake Ozark in January 2022. Mark your calendars now for January 8, 2022 for this entertaining and educational event. In addition, over 60 area businesses and organizations come together to make this event possible and remain free to attend. Please patronize them when possible!
Safety protocols will be in place for everyone's safety and will be more specifically detailed closer to the event date based on the current situation at that time. Updates will be made to the website and Facebook page as they become available.
EXPERIENCE
Things have changed a little bit but we are doing our best to make this a great memorable experience. Members of the Missouri Master Naturalist – Lake of the Ozarks Chapter are planning to be on hand with viewing scopes at both the Bagnell Dam River Access below Bagnell Dam and Willmore Lodge. In addition to the many migrating bald eagles we see in our area during the winter months, there are several mated pairs and juveniles that reside here year-round.
